SPIRIT UNITED TEAMS WIN AT DC CUP 2011

This weekend the Spirit United U11 BOYS Thunder came to play, and play they did, all the way to winning the DC Cup.  The team has made great strides to improve over the last year.  This result shows with hard work, the right attitude and quality training you can achieve anything.  Congrats to Coach Mark Mills and Trainer Ferron Brooks for a job well done.  In addition, our Spirit United U12 GIRLS finished 2nd in their Division.   They too are another team who has grown immensely over the last year.  Congrats and thanks to Coach Ken Moyer and trainer Stacey Kuhr for helping these girls reach their potential.

AC Milan's Brazilian star Kaka named Europe's footballer of the year

"I learn that it is faith that decides whether something will happen or not." He removed his jersey to reveal an "I Belong to Jesus" T-shirt and openly engaged in prayer moments after the final whistle of Milan’s 2007 Champions League triumph. Kaká previously sported the same shirt during Milan’s 2004 Scudetto celebration and after Brazil’s defeat of Germany in the 2002 World Cup final, and had the same phrase, along with "God Is Faithful," stitched onto the tongues of his boots.

Kaka has been granted audience with Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, to whom he donated three shirts, two of which of Milan. He donated to the Head of State two Milan shirts, one with the red and black lines and the other white one, both with the number 22. Kaka also donated a white shirt with the words ’I belong to Jesus’ on it. What a testimony and role model for our coaches and players!
