Step 1: Choose a Team Name. Engage the kids and parents as they will have many creative ideas.
Step 2: Uniform. The team must decide if they will be ordering uniforms through ACYS. A uniform set cost $30 and includes a quality Jersey with the team name and player numbers; and Shorts. Teams will be asked to pick uniform colors and numbers. Parents will be asked during the registration process if they need a uniform for their child. The system will automatically charge for a uniform but if they answer "no" it will deduct the $30 at check-out. Coaches and Schools please notify parents of whether or not uniforms will be ordered prior to everyone registering.
Step 3: Player Registration. Once you have a team name parents should be instructed to register their children individual by going to the ACYS Flag Football page by clicking the "Player Registration" link on the left side of the page and follow the instructions. During Registration:
1. If the player is playing with a school and the program is listed (i.e. Faith Christian Academy – 1st Grade) they choose that program and go from there.
2. If the player is playing with a program that is not listed (i.e. College Park) the Parent must select General Registration – Flag Football 2009. From there, when asked if they are on a team they should answer "yes" and then type in the team name that was chosen. This will allow ACYS to filter them at a later time for placement.
Step 4: Coach& Volunteer Registration. The Head Coach, Assistant Coach, and any other volunteers must register with ACYS. They do so by going to the ACYS Flag Football page, clicking on the “Coach & Volunteer Registration” link and following the instructions.
Step 5: Team Registration. In order to finalize the Team Registration, the “Team Registration Form” must be sent in to ACYS via mail or fax as stated on the “Team Registration” page.
